Your phrase ‘pissing contest’ somehow misses the juvenile futility of such a behavior, which unfortunately is something you experience very often when your job is writing about sexuality. After a while I opted to just disregard that attitude: morally speaking, I have no penis at all and I am much better off like this.
I guess I wouldn’t be that considerate if it came to a literal contest, however, and that is why I really admire the bravery and pride of Nick Gilronan, the winner of the title of ‘Mr. smallest penis in Brooklyn’. In fact, another thing you deal with a lot as a sex educator is female insecurity before the stereotypical image of athletic and luxurious bodies promoted by the media.
