As a writer, I sometimes work on behalf of people with interesting stories to tell, yet lacking the time or the craft to do it personally. In these cases of course my name doesn’t appear on the covers and the contract provides for me not to disclose which books I created… but there is one exception.
In 2010 I wrote the biography of one of the most famous Italian professional dominatrixes: Domina Amanda. The book – simply titled The Mistress – was finished and approved by the client, but she unfortunately died just a couple of weeks later before signing a publishing contract. Her family denied publication fearing retaliations by the VIPs mentioned in the book, but in 2014 I was eventually allowed to realize Amanda’s wish. You can now check it out here.
Other ghostwriting jobs I did luckily had much better fates – but I can’t really talk about them…
