So there was this Arizonan college student with one bright idea. What about attaching a remotely controlled taser to a pair of handcuffs, so that police officers could abusetranquilize “unruly prisoners” at the push of a button?
The guy took his invention to the largest tech company in the area, but the CEO didn’t want to stray their production from the true and tested field of medical devices… so he took the kid to his friends at Scottsdale Inventions, who saw a business in the product and promptly made a series of prototypes for law enforcement agencies.
But cops apparently aren’t too keen on a device that takes all the fun out of detainees handling costs too much, so the investors had to find other markets for something that can jolt the wearer with 300 volts from 300 feets away. And thus Funcuffs were born – same thing, possibly less power, and a nicer, fifty-shadish design. Coming to a BDSM store near you very soon. True story.
