You may have heard about a little problem down in Syria, which can be summed up with: the United States of America want to bomb another Middle Eastern country for fun and profit; the rest of the world does not. More specifically, Russia is fiercely opposed to a military intervention, and its leader Putin has hinted at a possible open fight with American forces should they attack Syria.
I am way too realistic to try and analyze the economic and political reasons behind these stances, so I think I’ll be waiting for the possibly apocalyptic developments in the usual, fashionable way of disregarding it all until it is too late. Smarter intellectuals have however taken a firm position in the propaganda arena. Take the owner of a Moscow strip club: he bravely chose to invest his own time and money to popularize the educated opinions of his employees in the form of an artistic photo calendar. And he sent a copy both to Obama and Putin. Now I feel much safer.
Oh, by the way: the phrase in the photo on the left says: «An aggression both sides can agree on». Here are the other pearls of wisdom…
«Obama, if you don’t listen to Michelle listen to me!»
«I will marry a peacekeeper»
«When war begins we won’t be having any more fun»
«Look for chemistry in your relationship, not in Syria»
«A farewell to arms» «These girls didn’t major in journalism but they have a position too»
«I don’t know what Syria is, but I still don’t want them to bomb it»
«Barack, two of my lap dances will change your mind»
