Writers often take inspiration from real people and places for the scenes they describe in their novels. Christian Grey’s fabulous penthouse apartment in 50 shades of Grey, in example, was based on the real topmost unit in Seattle’s Escala Tower. The very same loft that was recently sold (for 6.2 million dollars) to Ed and Cynthia Maletis – who saw it first on a regular real estate website.
