The biggest recognition of decades of studying atypical sexualities was the invitation to contribute to the reference book about an enormously important social topic.

The famous curators of Criminologia dei Sex Offender asked me to help Law and mental health professionals learning about sexual deviances as seen from a different viewpoint than the simple clinical-forensic analysis of their excesses. My contribution was focused on the sociological aspects of paraphilias, to understand their origins, dynamics, developments and meanings.

Working with the best national experts allowed to frame pathological behavior within a spectrum that is sometimes very hard to decipher – also to demolish numerous prejudices that could both compromise investigations and needlessly damage the lives of innocent people.
