REVOLUTION 4 - Oct. 17 2004

Let’s begin by dispelling a bit of an urban legend. Yes, during the latest Revolution we actually had a fire on the stage. Still, it was just a protective canvas (supposedly flameproof) burnt by one of the scenography candles.

The staff intervened immediately with the mandatory extinguishers, and the only problem was to clean up the stage from the dusts sprayed by the device. The guests simply continued playing in the seven themed rooms of the Labyrinth, and ten minutes later everything was back to normal.

There were no damages nor dangers whatsoever – but now we can really state that Revolution is a seriously hot party!

The guilty candle was part of the spectacular gothing setting which inspired many games. Among pulpits, kneeling benches and altars, several kinky monks and fetish nuns at the orders of mother superior Frau Veronika Marshall appeared to give penance a new meaning.

The guests who came and went throughout the long event (from 3 pm to 1 am!) however also used the other areas available: a black-draped dungeon full of chains, pillories and a torture chair; a large stage set for playing with a veritable rainbow of coloured candles; the cinema where, as BDSM movies played, transformed often in a torture chamber; the jail room…

Listing the many happenings of this edition (we had sessions of flogging, ice, Western and Eastern bondage, trampling...) would really take up too much space. It’s better to say then that it was a real pleasure to see new friends coming even from faraway towns and from abroad, and even better was to witness their enthusiasm.

Driven by an exceptional soundtrack, everyone played, experimented new practices and sensations, made new friends. Someone suggested new sets for the next Revolutions, and lots of people asked to have their picture taken by the artists of Mentiroventi, the fetish photography studio which became a regular feature of the party.

Of course we weren’t short of collateral events. This month the Labyrinth corridors displayed the new erotic artworks by Matteo Cagnola, while at the entrance you could browse preview copies of BDSM – Guida per esploratori dell’erotismo estremo, the splendid and huge new book by Ayzad.

For the gluttonous among us we also had a better buffet, now more varied and large than ever. Conversely, the open bar was already as efficient as always, even if our glamorous bartending girl tried to escape to enjoy a bit of bondage herself.

Now only a doubt remains… what can we think of to top this next time, when we’ll have a party for our sponsor’s second birthday?
